December 13th Developer Update - Death Deal challenge

A brand new style of Challenge has been released to Russia in Zombie Slayer today called the Death Deal. The rules of the game are simple, based on the Dealer's card decide if your card will be Higher or Lower. You also decide how many Chips you wish to wager (1, 2 or 4 Chips) before the Dealer is given their card which affects the type of payout you will receive.

• Wager: Use the slider to choose how much you wish to wager on your current hand.
• Decide: Make the choice if you think your card will be Higher or Lower than the dealer's.
• Result: If you choose correctly you will Win a Payout, if you Draw with the dealer you will receive your wager back and if you Lose you will receive nothing.
• Clear Bonus: Win 43 hands to complete this game and you have 3 days to finish it. Note that a your wager has no effect on 'Hands Won'. ie: a win with a 4 chip wager still only counts as 1 hand won.

Sounds great but it will be a few weeks before I can get that job done an start it.

Sounds neat but wishing I had it I'm still working on Switzerland outbreaks. Anyone know if you can run this challenge and rocket launcher at same time? I want to know if I should skip ahead to this outbreak or not.

 

LOVING the death deal. not just cosa the russian part. its just a good idea.

a russian roullette woulda been good. 6 chambers. 5 contain money UN + XP. 1 contains a trap and kills you

 

I have to complete that job as well.... went kind of light on energy in the beginning so I'm still a long, long was off 1000... should be there in a couple of days though!! can't wait to give it a try.

Germany Shooter in Progress

 

I could finish the German shooter right after I found about it so I tested it out already.

I don´t like much the gaming system since it takes a while to spend all of your chips, but the ending rewards are really worth it. Maybe the # of wins could be reduced a bit (to 60-70), 85 seems a little too much IMO, considering you can get about 40 wins per day if you win every single round which is kind of impossible. I´ll tell you later on though if I finish on time and what my completion time is.

By the way, I´d like to post that since last night I can´t choose how many chips to bet (the slider won´t show and it says "Wager: 3 chips"). I think I tried the 4 chip round having 3 in my inventory and it got stuck ever since... Maybe you could change it? I´ll just post on the Bugs/Issues section anyway.

 

you have to complete a certain russia job to unlock it aswell aparently. i have done all jobs but mamawhahahaha said she cant till she completes a job

 

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. This was a bug in the logic that was supposed to pick a value for you if your wager is greater than the # of chips you have. This has been fixed but please let us know if the problem with the slider persists.

BTW, to unlock the Death Deal challenge you need the fourth Russia job (the Stalingrad museum one) complete, pretty much like every other shooter Boris.

 

Its not a good add on, first i really dont like.

The graphics are orrible, it has nothing Zombie Slayer about it at all.

You need to get 85 right in 3 days. You start with 10, can get 3 extra from friends helping. You get 1 chip every half hour. So if by miracle you can be on every 5 hours to make sure you use all chips thats 157 chips. As the game i basically a 50-50 you will generally run short of the mark unless you buy chips with UN. Thats bad, your shooters are entirely do-able without having to ue UN points.

It looked nasty, its rushed and ill though out.

 

You could make it much better. Get some decent graphics for a start but gameplay could be made much better. What you have is tedious and unwinnable unless stupidly lucky, dont sleep and spend UN points.

It aint worth the xp or the achievements.

You need to re-visit this bigtime, Blackjack game, something like that.

Sorry but for a game this good, this rollout is rubbish.

 

We appreciate the feedback and we will certainly be monitoring how people are progressing through this new game so that changes can be made if need be.

Just to clarify a few things; you are correct that you start with 10 chips but you can hold a maximum of 18 free Chips. That means once you deplete all your Free chips it will take 9 hours for them all to reload, not 5. You can earn 12 free chips from your friends helping as they are awarded in lots of 4 chips, not 1.

With what you have said there then the correct max chips is 165 (as the last chip you get will coincide with the game timing you out). Its still imbalanced against 85 wins in 3 days.

Shooters, even if you done all the achievemens will serve a player better, hence this roll-out dont work and needs attention. Lower the wins to something more sensible and sort the graphics out or better still improve the gameplay with a different game entirely, one you have spent more time on developing properly.

 

Easy to make this game playable

If you win, you win a chip, not just xp and gold

Graphics/Art = Zombie Dealer and Human Player in a Casino - sure your art dept could have a laugh with that

 

makes betting more than 1 chip a gamble worth taking, not one that means you will need complete the game

A small change has been made to the Russia Death Deal. You now can hold a maximum of 24 Free Chips which was increased from 18.
