I think the idea of tabs is okay, even the size of the box (since I already have zoomed out to better see the screen) but for the love of all that is sacred, make the items smaller and pop out when you hover or click them, and get rid of the orange boxes and the starburst sale logos! I don't know how they look in other games, but if it's the same for you pirates, slayers or vikings then vote here!
