I believe the game automatically posts to your clan if you are under heavy attacks from another player, even when you are offline. If you are fighting, there is a button you can click under the attack button "Ask For Help".. I think you can only use that once every few hours not for every player. I don't use it so I'm unsure how long till it comes up again from the fight page.
