[VC] Guild Wars

  1. It has become apparent that only a few guilds have any chance of winning the Guild War in any given week. For those involved inXXX,XXX, XXX and XX the XXX from extra XP is an immense advantage, I average around 50,000 extra XP every week from Guild Wars and Gamer Points. Does this, however, promote levels of participation amongst smaller guilds who have little or no chance of winning? My short answer given turnover of smaller guilds would be no.

As an attritional, war based game, Viking Clan, has, and always should favour the larger players, provided they play within the Terms of Service and Spirit of the game itself. In some cases this does not appear to be happening. In order to resolve the iniquities within the game certain steps could be taken to make the VC world fairer and more equitable for all players. Items such as the cap on GW attacks on out of range players are a significant improvement for ambitious players wanting to progress through the ranks but could perhaps be further enhanced by some or all of the following measures:
Treat Guilds in much the same way as personal clan, that is, players are not able to attack, bounty, axe slap, counter attack or bounty trap other guild members. Additionally, if a player were to leave a guild have an automatic embargo on them from joining another guild or rejoining their initial guild for fourteen days. Players leaving a guild would not be able to attack or bounty ex guild members for seven days. Within three hours of the start of each Guild War week, guilds could be frozen for the entire week....nobody leaves or joins. If a player has a valid reason to leave perhaps Kano could review the situation, but no replacement player could be brought in.
Maintain the existing five attacks and four axe slaps for players outside each others range, perhaps extending to a further ten attacks on an individual player if they are overhit by a lower level player in any one day. For players within range, allow war points for all attacks and axe slaps on a daily basis, this will actively promote the battle part of the game, this is, after all why most players joined VC in the first place.
Limit the number of bounties placed on any GW player by another GW player to a maximum of five per day. Any player who bounties another more than five times has a fixed nominal price of, say, 2 trillion coins, and can be bounty listed by any and all GW players, to a maximum of five times, excepting those who are clan or guild members. Whilst the nominal bounty price does not change, the incremental bounty received on death would be as normal and is effective for a period of 24 hours. An alternative would be to have that player banned from further bounty placements on any player for a period of 24 hours. A further alternative could be to DECREASE the cost on any player who bounties another more than 5 times by 20% per infringement, that is, nominal cost now 5 trillion coins, after overbounty, cost reduces to 4 trillion coins, with incremental increases on death remaining as normal. I would prefer the first method as it allows lower ranked players to affordably bounty higher ranked players and thereby gain much needed war points.

so basically you want to take away everyones strategy that appears to be working well for them? i understand your frustrations with the wars but putting the number of restrictions your asking for is ridiculous to say the least. that being said, in all reality the guild wars are a joke...the exp gained vs lost frrom the amount of deaths isnt even close so theres really nothing to gain even if you place 1st every week
