Friend Leaderboard lose 50 places in 2 hours?

So earlier today my placement within my Friend Leaderboard was 221. Now I check and my placement is 271. I keep a good eye on this to see myself progressing ahead of the others in my group... How did I lose 50 places in a matter of 2 hours?

 

In what category? We just did a major update to the leader board system.

 

I had failed to mention in the release notes that the Friend Leaderboard now pulls data from your entire Mob whereas it was previously restricted to your active "friends". That would explain such a sharp decrease in your rank.

That is not quite accurate. Previous friend leaderboard would pull just from your friends that have the app installed, which in some cases would miss people that you have added to your mob but have either removed you or you removed them from being Facebook friends.
