[PC] Cache server outage 2/23/2012

Greetings Players,
Today at approximately 5:13pm PST one of our cache servers went offline, the root cause is still being investigated. This was an unplanned outage. Some players may notice blank or missing information in their game.

Unfortunately the following information has been reset:

• Rivals List Reset
• Counter Attack Costing Reset
• Bounty Cost Increase Reset
• Gift Counter for the day Reset
• Misc Help Counters for the day
• Alerts will be re-shown
• Boss min dmg sliders will Reset

We are working on new systems to minimize this impact for the future. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

For me only reset the bounty cost (????)

 

Why somme got afected and others dont??

 

Dunno what you're talking about. My bounty and rivals list reset just like everyone else.

 

One cache server in an array of cache servers failed.

 

IN THE HI5 SOMME PLAYERS ONLY RESET THE BOSS MIN dmg SLIDER... OTHERS DONT AFECT NOTHING...

 

ok... But we are not all wired to same server??? Funny because not everyone was affected... Only for that...

 

If we have 10 cache servers and 1 goes down, about 10% of the users would be impacted.

We started the process of moving over data that would get reset and annoy players (Armada Wall, Elite Captain requests were moved over) we have bounty cost increase and rival list next on our lest so that that data will not be lost if we lose another cache server.
