Upcoming Community Requests and Ideas

One question that comes up a lot, especially around Ideas, is when a specific feature or request will be rolled out. While I am hesitant to put exact dates on things given the mutable nature of development here are some of the Ideas that are on track to be implemented soon:

http://forums.kanoapps.com/threads/old-grid.12783/ - This idea will add an icon to a player’s profile picture on the Guild/Armada/Syndicate/Faction page that will let you know at a glance whether that player is alive, dead or in the Hospital. - Complete.

http://forums.kanoapps.com/threads/secret-gift.14877/ - A farily simple request, but one that we are happy to accomodate. Players have requested that we retire the Secret Gift, so it will be going away soon. - Complete.

Here are the ideas that are on our radar. They’ve either moved past “Under Review” or are in that subforum. There’s a very high chance that we plan on doing them, but there are a few hurdles to clear first (either finding time in the dev schedule or it involves a bit more UI work or various other reasons). These ideas have no hard ETA, but they’re things we are definitely interested in pursuing.

http://forums.kanoapps.com/threads/color-coding.14714/ - This will add symbols to links in World Chat to allow you to tell what they are at a glance (Help request, Add-Me link, Boss link, etcetera). The original idea calls for color-coding the links but our UI designers thought that icons for each link type would look a bit cleaner.

http://forums.kanoapps.com/threads/bounty-party.9757/ - This will go up as part of a twofer of changes that is designed to bring back a bit more of the focus on our classic PVP options (Hitlist/Bounty and Battle). This idea will throw up Kano staff accounts for a true party! Fun for all involved.

http://forums.kanoapps.com/threads/guild-wars-stat-tracking.13310/ - This will add achievements to the War events. The assets are done but as these stats are not officially tracked, implementing this will take a bit more work.

http://forums.kanoapps.com/threads/a-send-all-option-for-gift-giving.13479/ - This will let players mass-send 100 gifts at one time. Since there are some concerns about using this on Facebook from the development side, we are looking at alternative implementation options on the other networks (and a solution for the FB folks as well).

 

You mean that the stats for almost 2 years of play where not tracked at all, or they exists in some way but they need some conversion?

 

The latter of the two is my understanding.

 

I would love to see receive all/send all set up at the minimum for innercircles, I think that would be great collect your inners send all pops up and send what ever your inners need/want at the time

So lets say this Mi7ch. Since i joined wars In total i average usually 20 plus kills during armada wars. So you mean to tell me if their is a kill achievement in wars it will not be retroactive. I figure about at least over 500 plus kills now. I can see you can keep track of armadas that have had the number 1 spot awarded 2 and 3rd and so on for achievements. But kills should be able to go back and look through your system

It will be retroactive. They just don't have the tallies right now, so they will have to scour the database for the data, which will take some time.

 

i like some of these and not others. at least kano seems open to making changes. even if they only benefit a minority of the player base.
